Workshop Topic: Walking a Creative Path

Lecture Topic: Walking a Creative Path: A one hour lecture, designed for guild presentations describing the path of Bethanne’s quilting career.  Bethanne’s journey as an art quilter from her beginnings making traditional quilts, then branching out into pattern manipulation, to her current pictographic silk art quilts is explored with a slide presentation and with a trunk show of available quilts. Bethanne will explore how her silk quilts come to be, from initial sketches, paintings, photography to final creation and finish details.  Additionally, Bethanne discusses how any quilter can learn to recognize inspiration and document and organize it to facilitate quilt design through sharing her own techniques and sketchbooks.

All workshops begin at 9:30AM. Please be on time.

 

These instructions are solely for workshops taking place at The Presbyterian Church at Morris Plains.

 

Upon arrival at the church hall parking lot please park at the far front end of the lot closest to Speedwell Avenue. Use the double door entrance at the front of the church hall facing Speedwell Avenue.

 

These apply to all workshop locations.

 

You will need to provide your own lunch. You may BYO, thre are many options for lunch within walking distance.

 

Please dress comfortably in layers as/if necessary.

 

Bring any/all items listed on instructor’s supply list and any item/tool necessary for comfort to have a successful workshop.

 

Workshops are $60 for members, and $65 for guests unless otherwise specified until September 1, 2015.

After September 1st, 2015 it will be $70 for members and $85 for guests so it is advantageous to sign up before September 1s, 2015.

 

 

Registration fees for all workshop participants are due at sign up. You may sign up at the program committee table at any regular meeting or via U.S. mail. Please print the registration form or obtain copies at any regular meeting.

 

Again payment in full is due at time of registration.

Emergency Cancellations: If a class must be canceled due to weather, we will contact you as soon as that decision has been made.
