Today's Sunshine Bee featured seventeen busy quilters assembling blocks from members into comforting quilts for veterans. Our next Guild bee is November 14 beginning at 1:00 at the Library of the Chathams. You won't want to miss the fun and satisfaction of this incredible effort for our veterans.


Don't We Love a Challenge?
In September, Sunshine's Kris Dale distributed patriotic fabric squares to meeting attendees. She asked that we make one 9 1/2 inch quilt square and return it in October. Our innovative members made over 100 squares! Delighted, our Sunshine Group is now confident that we will meet our 95 quilt challenge! Hurrah for Kris Dale!
Kris Dale chairs our Sunshine Committee leading the production and donation of quilts to those in need from infants to seniors, including the infirm and the homeless. We are thrilled that her years of leadership earned her the 2018 New Jersey State Governor"s Jefferson Award as a Good Neighbor. She provides strong and dedicated inspiration to all of us, and this award highlights the inspiration and achievement she has enabled for all of us in the guild. Thanks to Kris's lea


A Gift of our Craft
The guild's board members each received a gift of batik fabric from outgoing President, Marcia David, and in thanks to her for her incredible leadership, they assembled a quilt as a thank you gift to her! Guild President Pam Farago presented the quilt made up of the Blocks of the Month from the 2017-2018 year. Thanks to Marcia, Garden State Quilters begins a new year with strong leadership, charitable commitment, and dynamic membership.
